The restaurant’s interior is thoughtfully designed, with traditional Japanese touches paired with modern decor, making it the perfect setting for both casual dinners and special occasions.

As for the menu, Narihira offers a wide selection of dishes that will please both traditional food lovers and those seeking something a little different. The menu is carefully curated, with each dish prepared using the freshest ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. Popular options include various sushi rolls, tempura, and hearty rice bowls. If you're looking for something unique, their specialty dishes, like grilled fish and handmade noodles, are a must-try. Each plate is beautifully presented, making for a delightful experience for both the eyes and the palate.

A personal favorite from my visit was their signature ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of savory and umami notes. The noodles were perfectly cooked, offering that delightful chewiness you expect from a well-made bowl of ramen. Accompanying it were slices of tender pork, along with a garnish of fresh herbs that added a refreshing touch to each bite. It’s clear that Narihira takes great pride in crafting every dish with care and attention to detail.

When it comes to drinks, Narihira does not disappoint either. The restaurant offers a fine selection of beverages, including traditional Japanese drinks like sake and green tea. For those who prefer something more modern, there are also options like craft beers and refreshing fruit juices that pair wonderfully with the food.

  • Delicious, homemade-style set meals at reasonable prices. Persons ordering a set meal at dinner requires either purchasing a drink or spending at least 350 yen on other items, as the set meals are heavily discounted. The set meal menu includes pictures, which makes ordering easier. The English text that is present doesn’t clearly explain the purchase requirement, but that seems to be a language limitation rather than anything deceptive. Also, if you order an alcoholic drink, a small side dish is automatically included for around 200 yen. This is a common practice in Japan, even if not universal.

  • Great place to go if you want a peaceful meal! It is cash only. The menu is mostly in Japanese, but trust me: Get the recommended 10 stick yakitori and a beer. Best cooked chicken I have ever had and it pairs perfectly with the beer on draft!

  • The grilled chicken (in the set meal) was particularly delicious. The egg plant side dish was also nice as was the hors d'oeuvres. As it was the weekend and after 5pm we had to order a drink each - was not expecting that. This place can seat about two dozen people if all the seats are used.

  • We ordered the sashimi set meal and yakitori mixed selection. The staff were so lovely and kind. The food was delicious, perfectly grilled and saucy. The set meal was great, miso, rice, raw fish and the karaage chicken was a highlight! They also had comfortable bench seating which was a plus. Would come again thank you for treating us really well :)
